FAQ: Golf Course & Country Club Clocks

Frequently Asked Questions

What size post clock is right for a golf course?

Our Small Howard and Small Washington models, both approximately 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall, are the most popular choices for golf course and country club installations. They work well at the first tee, clubhouse entrance, and practice areas where sight lines are closer than a typical streetscape. The right dial size and height depends on your specific setting — ask us for assistance in determining the correct size.

Can I add my club’s logo and name to the clock?

Yes. We offer raised aluminum lettering, custom logo plaques, and paint colors matched to your club’s brand. Approval drawings are prepared by our engineers before production so you can see exactly how the finished clock will look.

How accurate is the timekeeping?

Electric Time clocks use GPS-synchronized movements, keeping time to within fractions of a second and automatically adjusting for Daylight Saving Time.

How is a golf course post clock installed?

The clock post is set on a concrete foundation. We provide complete foundation drawings and stainless steel anchor rods with every order, making it straightforward for your local contractor to complete the installation. Our team is available to answer any questions along the way.

Where are golf course clocks made?

Every clock is manufactured at our factory in Medfield, Massachusetts, USA, approximately 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Boston. Our 50,000 square foot (4,645 square meter) facility is where every component is built, finished, and tested before shipment.

What kind of clock movements do you use?

Unlike most clock manufacturers, Electric Time designs and builds its own clock movements and controls in-house. This gives us complete control over quality and — uniquely in the industry — means we still carry replacement parts for clocks made nearly 100 years ago. When you invest in an Electric Time clock, you’re investing in a timepiece that can be serviced and supported for generations.

What is the lead time for a custom golf course clock?

Lead times vary depending on customization. Contact us for a current estimate — we’re happy to work around your club’s schedule for events or grand openings.
