Installed in 1997 Electric Time Company designed and built a multi-time-zone custom architectural clock installation for the Tourneau flagship store at 57th Street and Madison Avenue in New York City.
The project included twenty-six 44-inch diameter stainless steel clocks and one 13-foot diameter feature clock with day-of-the-week, calendar, and moon-phase indicators. All clocks were constructed with stainless steel cases and laminated glass dial.
The installation was completed in collaboration with Levi, Sanchick & Associates and became a recognized landmark at the 57th Street and Madison Avenue intersection.
The clocks were later removed as part of subsequent changes to the retail space. The installation remains representative of Electric Time Company’s work on large-scale custom architectural clock.
